Almost forgot about TrueAbility’s Linux Showdown…
Having never touched an nginx config file in my life, I’m happy to have finished the challenge and got all of the questions in ~49 minutes. Many others didn’t finish at all. I got an 83%, which puts me at 34th out of 279 others that attempted it so far… not bad I guess. Wonder what I missed, though.

so i’ve never touched MySQL before in my life but was able to finish it or in other words give up on it after 30 mins. hopefully the grade isnt that bad cool thing is mysql seems to be pretty nice compared to progress open edge.

Oh no, I fell to 11th after you posted this! lol. What is your user name on there? Never heard of Progress OpenEdge, but I’m sure there is some good money to be made in it if it is highly specialized. MySQL (MariaDB now for the open source version) is widely used and a good resume keyword…

its alright you still get a gift since your part of the top 20 i think. my username is linux64 on that site. And yes OpenEdge is more utilized on the enterprise side competing with Oracle db’s its actually used in manufacturing ERP & MRO systems but there’s very few developers that are still alive which can develop via 4GL considering it a very old technology.

Yeah, top 20 gets a shirt, but I was hoping to get the Adafruit thing, even though it’s only $8
